Front Desk Supervisor

Purpose

Responsible for receiving/transferring all incoming calls, making/confirming lodge reservations, responsible for registering, securing payment and assigning rooms to guests and responsible for making sales and securing payment for merchandise sold in the gift shop all while providing the highest standard of guest services.

Prerequisites

Must be a minimum of 18 years of age. Must qualify for a "Non-Gaming" gaming license.

Education

High school graduate or GED required. Must be able to communicate in the primary language of the work place.

Experience

Hotel or customer service experience preferred. Telephone answering experience and preferred one-year experience in retail sales also preferred. Must possess basic arithmetic skills and have the ability to make monetary transactions accurately. Computer experience also required.

Skills

Must be familiar with word processing. Must be comfortable approaching people, speaking with strangers and be able to calmly and effectively handle conflicts and problem resolution during high conflict situations or high volumes of traffic.

Physical

Requires ability to stand in stationary position for long periods of time up to four hours in length; bending, stooping, kneeling and reaching; grasping, finger dexterity and repetitive motions, must be able to lift up to 30 lbs. occasionally while assisting with lifting guest luggage, etc.
